This recipe packs some great nutritional benefits, especially if you're looking for a hearty, protein rich meal. Beef chuck roast is an excellent source of high quality protein, which helps build and repair muscles, and it's loaded with essential nutrients like iron and zinc that keep your energy levels up. Cooking it slow and low lets the meat tenderize perfectly without needing extra heavy oils or butter, keeping the overall fat content more manageable. Plus, using garlic adds a great natural punch of flavor along with antioxidants that support your immune system. If you want to make it even healthier, you can easily serve the shredded beef on whole wheat buns for an extra boost of fiber and long lasting energy.

Ingredients

  • 1 boneless beef chuck roast (3 to 4 pounds)
  • 1 jar (16 ounces) whole dill pickles, undrained
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • Instructions

    1. Cut roast in half and place in a slow cooker.
